Get to know Coimbra
Coimbra is a city placed in the edges of the river of Mondego, 185 kilometers away from Lisbon and 98 kilometers awaey from Porto. With good road and railroad accesses, it also has a good net of urban transports. The district of Coimbra has an area of 3,956 approximately km2, that it is extended from the coast to the interior. The Ocidental area( Valley of the low Mondego) is plain, but in the Southwestern part is mountainous reaching an altitude of 1200 m. The climate is tempered and the annual precipitation average is of 750 millimeters. Coimbra is a university city, being known over all for the raised standards of its services and for the wealth of its cultural patrimone.
